The University of NorthamptonThe Mechanical Engineering program at UON offers a lot of flexibility, with various options to enhance your learning experience. The course can be studied full-time or part-time, with classes held on multiple days each week. If you prefer day-release study, the Engineering BSc (Hons) program provides that option.
You can complete the BEng in three years, and you have the option to take a year-long industrial placement between the second and third year to gain practical experience.
If you choose to, you can then pursue the MEng degree for an additional year, which is an integrated postgraduate stage that provides a deeper understanding of engineering principles and offers an opportunity to participate in a substantial group research project to demonstrate your learning.

We welcome international applicants and applications from students with a range of non-traditional educational or professional qualifications. Integrated Foundation Year (IFY) Entry Requirements Admission to this foundation course is normally DEE at A Level or MPP at BTEC. However, we would also like to hear from you if you have professional or industry experience instead, a range of other qualifications or self-developed subject knowledge that relates to the course you wish to study. Entry requirements are as follows: A-level DEE BTEC MPP Pass (D or E) at T Level Professional/industry experience English Language Requirements All International and EU students applying for a course with us must meet the following minimum English language requirements: Minimum standard – IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent)
