This master's in English Literature offers an intellectually challenging, innovative programme of study. It's directly informed by the outstanding research of staff in the School of English Literature, Language and Linguistics.The MA moves away from period-based literary studies. Instead, it considers texts in the context of established and emerging scholarship and theory.
A 2:1 honours degree, or equivalent, in English literature. We also welcome applications from students who have an undergraduate degree from another discipline, such as: classics, history, philosophy, a modern language, English language, politics, drama, creative writing, translation. IELTS 7.0 overall (with a minimum of 6.5 in writing, and 6.0 in all other sub-skills).
