This MA explores language from a wide range of perspectives. It is designed to develop understanding of key concepts and issues related to applied linguistics and English language education globally, while also engaging students in the theoretical and empirical investigation of real-world situations, contexts and issues in which language plays a crucial role.
A minimum of a second-class UK Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject (e.g. English, languages, linguistics, communication), or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard is required. IELTS- standard level overall grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6 in each of the subjects/good level overall grade of 7 with a minimum of 6.5 in each of the subjects/advanced level overall grade of 7.5 with a minimum of 6.5 in each of the subjects. TOEFL - standard level score of 92 overall with 24/30 in reading and writing and 20/30 in speaking and listening/ good level score of 100 overall with 24/30 in reading and writing and 20/30 in speaking and listening/ advanced level score of 109 overall 24/30 in reading and writing and 20/30 in speaking and listening.
