On this pioneering course you ll acquire new research skills, as well as a more holistic understanding of environmental issues. You ll address specific issues such as climate change and biodiversity loss, alongside broader ideas about human relationships with place, technology, and the more-than-human world, drawing insights from across a wide range of disciplines and cultures. Core modules, taught by world-leading specialists, offer intensive introductions to new disciplinary perspectives, through critical focus on key concepts such as the Anthropocene : the idea that Earth has now entered a new geological era, indelibly shaped by human activities.
