This program focuses on international hotel management from both an operational and strategic perspective, with an emphasis on developing the necessary skills and knowledge to manage a hotel successfully. Through this international course, you will gain a deep understanding of the hotel industry and its role in the service sector, and you will be encouraged to generate creative solutions to actual problems while recognizing the importance of providing excellent service and exceeding customer expectations.

To create a challenging learning environment, representatives from the international hotel industry will provide input, and you will have the opportunity to shadow members of the on-site hotel operations team. These Learning Partners will enable you to analyze operational and strategic solutions to running a business, giving you a glimpse into the nature and challenges of real-world business environments and preparing you to become a skilled industry professional upon graduation.

The MA program is taught by a team of faculty who possess research excellence and operational knowledge in both domestic and international contexts. Critical subject modules are taught in a practical setting, allowing you to apply your knowledge and observe firsthand the difficulties involved in managing various aspects of a hotel.

You will normally need to hold a recognised 2:2 or higher UK honours degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognised international institution. A wide range of degree disciplines will be considered including events, hospitality management, marketing, business, travel and tourism and entrepreneurship. Your application will also be considered if you possess a significant portfolio of work at an appropriate level or relevant professional qualifications.
