Program Overview

One of the widest-ranging courses in the UK, with expertise spanning Bronze Age to late antiquity, Anatolia to Egypt and the Near East. You will be taught by world-leading experts, with particular research strength in a wide range of disciplines including ancient history, literature, language, archaeology, art and culture. Our Classics research was rated third in the UK for the quality of its publications by the Research Excellence Framework, 2014. There are also opportunities to work in the on-site Ure Museum, which houses the fourth-largest collection of Greek ceramics in the UK, outside of the module. You can also enter Greek and/or Latin tuition from beginner's to advanced level.
