Program Overview

The MSt in History aims to improve your practical and intellectual grasp of research processes, ability to conceptualise and engage with historical problems, and enlarge your understanding of the historical and historiographical context within which your own research is set. A novel feature of the programme is that students will normally be assigned two supervisors, one a postholder from the History Faculty and the other an early career historian. This mixture of insights will help to build students independence and to shape their work in innovative ways.
