Established in 1096, the University of Oxford is a public university and a member of Russell Group. The university is located in Oxford, England. The University of Oxford is one of the only two multi-faculty universities in the U.K to have 100% of their subjects in the top 10.

The University of Oxford Programs and Courses

The University of Oxford comprises of 100 major academic departments, with academic divisions such as Medical Sciences; Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences; Humanities and Social Sciences. Oxford University offers more than 1000 undergraduate programs and graduate programs. The university is made up of 30 different colleges and provides courses like business, Pathology, history, computer science, engineering, law, social work, education, communications, art, science, and medicine.

Oxford has a total student of more than 23,000 students and the student to faculty ratio at the university is 13:1. The acceptance rate at Oxford is 17.5%. Tuition costs are higher for non-European Union students. The university and its academic departments and colleges, as well as dozens of external organizations, have made more than 900 scholarships available for graduate students.

Oxford’s academic calendar is divided into three terms – Michaelmas (fall), Hilary (spring) and Trinity (summer), each term is eight weeks long. As a modern, research-driven university, Oxford is constantly ranked the best in the world for medicine. Oxford is also ranked 2nd globally for its programs in Archaeology, Law, Medicine, Politics & International Studies, Psychology and Anthropology.

The Clarendon Fund is a major graduate scholarship scheme at the University of Oxford, offering around 140 new scholarships every year. Clarendon Scholarships are granted on the basis of academic excellence and potential across all degree-bearing subjects at the graduate level at the University of Oxford.
