Intellectual Property (IP) is a fast growing area of the law, requiring highly qualified multilingual specialists who can deal with IP rights across national borders. The new LLM International Studies in Intellectual Property Law course offers a specialised programme of study that will enable you to meet the requirements of a future career in this area. The course covers copyright, trademark and patent law, along with its European and international aspects, as well as legal questions associated with new technologies, multimedia and cyberspace.
Academic transcripts, A personal statement explaining why you are suitable for the course , Two professional and/or academic references, A copy of your passportcopies of any other supporting documents, A good undergraduate degree (2:2 or above) or equivalent professional qualification with appropriate criminological or legal content. Applicants who have reached a high level of progression (eg: at least police inspector level or equivalent in other criminal justice related fields), or who are specialists in a criminal justice related occupation with extensive work experience, will be considered on a case by case basis. International students need to meet our English language requirement at IELTS 6.5 or above, and a minimum of 5.5 for each of the 4 individual components (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening).
