Curriculum Structure
Year 1 (Full-Time)

Advanced Microeconomics and Advanced Macroeconomics deepen your understanding of market behaviour, policy design, and global economic systems. In Econometrics, you’ll master statistical modelling and forecasting using real-world datasets.
As the year progresses, you’ll apply these skills to contemporary issues through modules like Applied Economics and Policy, which focuses on climate change, inequality, and financial crises. You’ll also choose a specialist endorsement — either International Economics or Business and Financial Economics — allowing you to tailor your learning to your career goals.
The program culminates in a Dissertation, where you’ll conduct independent research on a topic of your choice, supported by expert supervision and access to the university’s Research Centre for Political Economy, Governance, Finance and Accountability (PEGFA).
