Program Overview

The MLitt in Peace and Conflict Studies explores the foundations of peace and conflict theory, focusing on challenges that arise in areas of peace building, peace processes, reconciliation and post-conflict reconstruction. This course explores the foundations of peace and conflict theory, as well as the broader challenges that arise in areas of peace building, peace processes, reconciliation and post-conflict reconstruction. This programme is very wide ranging to encourage students to reflect on the nature of both war and peace. Students will develop the skills required to analyse the roots, dynamics, key actors and issue-areas in specific conflicts and to evaluate specific responses to conflicts.
