Curriculum structure

Year of study (MA – 1 year full-time)

You begin by building a strong theoretical foundation through core modules such as International Politics and Research Methods in Politics, where you explore key theories of international relations and learn how to design and conduct rigorous political research. As you progress, optional modules allow you to specialise in areas such as Security Studies, Globalisation and World Politics, or Foreign Policy Analysis, linking theory directly to contemporary global challenges. The programme culminates in a Dissertation, where you independently research an international issue of your choice, guided closely by academic experts from the Department of Politics.
