The MSc Governance programme at Lincoln offers students the opportunity to study for an academic degree alongside a highly marketable governance qualification. The University of Lincoln is working with ICSA: the Governance Institute to fully accredit the programme. Once ICSA accreditation is in place, students successfully completing the Masters programme are jointly awarded Graduate ICSA status.
Applicants from all backgrounds are welcome to apply to be considered for the programme. The programme is open to those students with both relevant and non-relevant undergraduate degrees. All applicants must be approved on an individual basis by the programme leader (if necessary followed by an interview).Previous work experience is not required, but students are required to have a minimum 2:2 honours degree or equivalent, and at least grade C in GCSE Mathematics, or its equivalent.In addition to the Standard route, the programme allows entry through a Degree, Accelerated or Fast Track route providing students the opportunity to be considered for certain exemptions. The entitlement to exemptions will be assessed on an individual basis and students should make it clear in the application if they wish to apply for exemptions.The details are as follows:Standard route requires completion of all modules.Degree route allows to apply for possible exemptions based on a completed degree in finance, accounting or law.Accelerated route allows qualified accountants or lawyers with up to five years professional experience to apply for possible exemptions.Fast track route allows qualified accountants or lawyers with more than five years professional experience to apply for possible exemptions.Fast track route allows already qualified Chartered Secretaries of the ICSA worldwide to enter the learning programme with only taking either the research methods and a dissertation option or a consultancy project.Fast track route allows company secretaries and other governance professionals to apply for possible exemptions from some of the modules.International Students will require English Language at IELTS band 6.0 with no less than 6.0 in each element, or equivalent.This programme is not availableGovernment social research officerPolitician's assistantPublic affairs consultantPublic relations account executiveSocial researcher
