Established in 1992, the University of Lincoln is a public research university located in the cathedral city Lincoln, UK. The University of Lincoln has been awarded gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework 2017, judged as delivering consistently outstanding teaching, learning and outcomes for its students.

The university comprises of three colleges: College of Science; College of Art and College of Social Science. Each college comprises of various schools, institutes and research centers. The College of Science includes the School of Chemistry, School of Computer Science, School of Engineering, School of Life Sciences, School of Mathematics & Physics, School of Pharmacy, National Centre for Food Manufacturing, Lincoln Institute for Agri-Food Technology, Lincoln Institute for Health. The college of Art includes the School of Architecture & Design, School of English & Journalism, School of Film & Media, School of Fine & Performing Arts, and School of History & Heritage. The College of Social Science includes the Business School, School of Education, School of Health & Social Care, Law School, School of Psychology, School of Social & Political Sciences and School of Sport & Exercise Science.

The total student population at the university is over 13,400 students of which over 11,400 are enrolled in the undergraduate programs. The student ratio to faculty ratio at the Lincoln University is 16:1.

Being located physically in the center of the UK's agri-business industry, Lincoln University offers world-leading programs in agricultural and food production technology. The university has partnerships with many local agricultural production and engineering companies as well as national food retailers such as Tesco and Marks and Spencer.

The university has partnered with Study Group to provide International Foundation Year Program and International Year One programs. The International Foundation Year is a supportive, one-year course that aims to prepare the student for joining the first year of an undergraduate degree at the University of Lincoln. The International Year One is an intensive one-year course that is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree. It will prepare the student for joining the first or second year of an undergraduate degree at the University of Lincoln.
