The MSc Applied Clinical Psychology at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) deepens your academic and practical understanding of clinical psychology, combining theoretical learning with hands-on placement experience. Curriculum structure:
During this one-year full-time (or two-year part-time) programme, you first engage with modules like Clinical Psychology across the Lifespan, Professional Issues & Practice in Clinical Psychology, and Clinical Research Design & Processes, building a well-rounded theoretical and methodological foundation.You further enhance your research skills through Research Methods & Statistics for Clinical Psychologists, mastering both quantitative and qualitative techniques.  Concurrently, Core Clinical Skills trains you in essential therapeutic competencies, including assessment, formulation, risk-management, and interviewing.The programme culminates in an Advanced Clinical Psychology Project, where you design and execute independent research to apply your learning in a real-world or clinically relevant context.
