9 Months On Campus Masters Program
The Master of Public Policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science is an intensive nine-month programme designed for ambitious professionals who want to shape public policy at the highest levels. Curriculum Structure
Year 1 (Full-time, 9 months)
From the start, students build a strong analytical foundation through core courses such as Political Science for Public Policy and Economics for Public Policy, which ground policy decisions in rigorous political and economic reasoning. Alongside this, Quantitative Methods for Public Policy equips students with the statistical tools needed to interpret data confidently and make evidence-based recommendations.
The programme then moves into applied leadership and ethical dimensions through Public Management and Philosophy for Public Policy, encouraging students to reflect on governance, accountability, and public value. Finally, Public Policy Applications integrates learning across disciplines, allowing students to apply theory to real-world policy challenges in a practical, problem-solving context.
