Landscape architects are interdisciplinary design practitioners uniquely positioned to be leaders in addressing the most pressing issues of our time. A Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) degree at the University of Illinois provides students with opportunities to develop critical professional skills at a nationally ranked research university situated at the nexus of three socially, culturally, and environmentally rich landscapes: Chicago and the Great Lakes megaregion, the Mississippi River Basin, and the Grand Prairie ecology of the Midwest. Our MLA graduates go on to work regionally as well as around the world.
