The Master of Music in Collaborative Piano focuses on accompanying and chamber music, collaborating with a wide range of instruments and voice, plus the opportunity to play in large ensembles and in operatic settings. This particular degree may lead to employment as an accompanist, chamber music player, or teacher of accompanying and/or chamber music. In addition to core courses, other required coursework include Advanced Accompanying classes, Keyboard Ensemble, and large ensemble. Electives can be used for further study in music history, music theory, pedagogy and literature, chamber music, ensembles, or other courses as determined by the student in consultation with his/her advisor.
