Program Overview

The M.Mus in Conducting is for students who wish to further conducting studies begun in undergraduate music degrees from NASM accredited universities and to pursue careers in conducting in both professional and educational settings. Students are afforded multiple opportunities for regular conducting experiences under faculty supervision and with appropriate major ensembles. Masters conducting students declare an area of emphasis--winds, orchestral, choral--but are required to conduct in all areas, including opportunities to conduct in opera and music theater.

A Bachelor's degrees from regionally accredited colleges or universities and meeting the criteria indicating high potential to succeed in graduate-level work. Require equivalent of a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, Copies of all academic records, Original Personal Statement , Provide financial documentation, Two Letters of Recommendation,CV or Resume, Test scores: 83 in TOEFL, 6 in IELTS, 53 in PTE or successful completion of ELS Level 112, GRE or GMAT scores.
