Oklahoma City University is a private university in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma that is historically affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Blue and white are the official schools and athletic colors of Oklahoma City University.

Oklahoma City University History

In the early 1900s, local developer Anton Classen founded Oklahoma City University as Epworth University. In addition to other development projects, Classen hoped to establish a Methodist university. Oklahoma City University’s construction began in 1902, and it opened in 1904 with 100 students.

Oklahoma City University has eight colleges and schools, as well as one Methodist seminary. Draper Hall is a coed dorm with suite-style rooms for upperclassmen and freshmen overflowing.
