MBA Leadership and Ethics

2 Years On Campus Masters Program

Johnson Graduate School of Management

Program Overview

Leadership is the art of motivating a group of people to act toward achieving a common goal. In a business setting, this can mean directing workers and colleagues with a strategy to meet the company's needs. Leadership captures the essentials of being able and prepared to inspire others. Effective leadership is based upon ideas both original and borrowed that are effectively communicated to others in a way that engages them enough to act as the leader wants them to act. Business ethics is the study of appropriate business policies and practices regarding potentially controversial subjects including corporate governance, insider trading, bribery, discrimination, corporate social responsibility, and fiduciary responsibilities. The law often guides business ethics, but at other times business ethics provide a basic guideline that businesses can choose to follow to gain public approval.
