Program Overview

This degree program offers four possible tracks: Instrumental, Collaborative Piano, Conducting, and Voice. The degree requires at minimum a successful completion of 30 semester hours of coursework (Orchestra Instruments, Piano and Conducting tracks), or 34 hours of coursework (Voice track). Each track requires the core curriculum as well as specific requirements divided between performance training, theory/history, and elective courses. A comprehensive oral examination and performance culminate the program. Please note: the MM in Music Performance does not lead to recommendation for New York State professional teaching certification in Music K-12 from Fredonia.
