SUNY Fredonia was established in the year 1826 as a public liberal arts university and as a constituent college of the State University of New York. The University is located in the western part of the state, close to Lake Erie.
The university offers a perfect blend of program variety and campus size, and students have over 100 academic majors and 15 master degree programs to choose from. The university is majorly known for its programs in Business, Marketing, Management, Education, Visual and Performing Arts, Journalism, and Psychology.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and have an acceptance rate of 62%. The student-faculty ratio at SUNY Fredonia is 14:1, and 57% of the student body is women. There are currently over 4500 students enrolled in full-time programs at the 250-acre residential campus.
There are over 100 student organizations. Fredonia Blue Devils are open to all student-athletes and give them the opportunity to compete in conferences of NCAA’s Division III. The university offers a 40,000 square foot studio complex, 92,000 square-foot science center, state of the art fitness center, swimming arena, gymnasiums, diving well, track, and ice arena.
