The Master of Education degree is designed for those with a Bachelor's degree in music other than music education. The Master of Education leads to a California teaching credential. In general, the Master of Music includes more coursework in music, while the Master of Education includes more coursework in education courses. A graduate student desiring intensive music and music education coursework, plus a California teaching credential, may pursue the Master of Music with credential option.
