Master of Arts Plus Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies.The program in School Guidance Counseling is designed to prepare candidates for MA state licensure as a School Guidance Counselor.Two levels of licensure are available for grades 5-12. After completing course requirements, the individual chooses the practicum experience on the level for which they intend to pursue licensure. Emphasis is on the development of effective counseling, assessment skills, consultation, transition planning, and collaboration skills.
