The master's program in early childhood education is offered by the Department of Teaching, Learning and Technology. This integrated program leads toward the New York state initial certificate to teach early childhood (Birth-Grade 2). The program blends on-campus preparation with field experiences in a variety of early childhood settings, including high-needs schools, culminating in full-time student teaching. This program is registered with the New York State Education Department.
Application A Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited college or university with a major, concentration, or the equivalent in one or more of the liberal arts and sciences. Coursework must include at least three credits in Math, Science, History/Social Science, English, and World Language with a grade of C or above.* Unofficial Transcripts GPA 3.0 out of (4.0 scale) Personal Statement Two Letters of Recommendation Interview TOEFL iBT: 80 OR IELTS 6.5 overall.
