Program Overview

The department offers coursework leading to a Master of Arts or a Doctor of Philosophy degree in English with concentrations in American, British or Anglophone literatures; creative writing (poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction); and rhetoric and composition. UNT is among a select group of universities and the only one in the North Texas region offering a creative writing concentration at the doctoral level.
