Program Overview

The Linguistic and Communication Disorders department's program in speech-language pathology is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). The program provides the academic and practicum requirements for clinical certification by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and for professional licensure by the New York State Department of Education. It also provides the necessary academic and pedagogical preparation for certification by New York State as a Teacher of Students with Speech-Language Disabilities---SED Program (IRP)
