This degree is a one-year, non-thesis course of study culminating in a research project or internship and providing students with in-depth laboratory training in various aspects of assisted reproduction, including but not limited to: In vitro production of bovine embryos including in vitro oocyte maturation, in vitro fertilization, and in vitro culture of resulting embryos; Embryo and semen cryopreservation and vitrification; Micromanipulation of oocytes and embryos, including ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection); Basic maintenance of an assisted reproduction laboratory and all associated equipment.
