The University of Texas Health Science Center at HoustonThe community health practice program focuses on understanding social, economic, cultural, inter-organizational, and geographic factors to promote and protect the health of communities. Students learn to evaluate, develop, and implement programs. Upon graduating, our students go on to bridge gaps between theory-based interventions and practical application, often working directly with community members to create grassroots partnerships and programming that support population health needs.
