The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston owns three student housing properties: 7900 Cambridge (Phase I) and 1885 El Paseo (Phase II and III). The Cambridge student housing complex, a two-story structure, was built in 1982 and includes the Child Development Center. The Phase II housing complex on El Paseo was built in 2005, and the Phase III complex on the same site was built in 2014. Both complexes' minor dependent residents are zoned to the Houston Independent School District. Whidbey Elementary School, Cullen Middle School, and Lamar High School are zoned for residents of both complexes.
