The Department of Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences prepares students to partner with communities and organizations to address behavioral, environmental, and social determinants of health, promoting equity through evidence-based interventions. Through interdisciplinary research, education, and practice, we empower change agents to improve population health and well­being, locally and globally.

 The Master of Public Health in Health Promotion & Health Education is a fundamental professional degree and integrates the core public health disciplines with behavioral and social sciences. The curriculum emphasizes methods for health promotion intervention development, implementation, and evaluation in various settings.
