2 Years On Campus Masters Program
The Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Gannon University is a program designed for students to participate in a collaborative, experiential, and integrative course of study developing skills that prepare them for the highest standards of the scope of practice in speech-language pathology. The Erie speech-language pathology comprehensive curriculum combines research and evidence-based clinical practice, infused with a strong commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion. The program requires completion of six (6) semesters of didactic and clinical coursework. Graduate students will be provided with opportunities to work alongside faculty on clinical and community research projects and service.
CADCAS Application Baccalaureate degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders or completion of equivalent coursework from an accredited college or university. Cumulative prerequisite course grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale; Grades below a “C” are not acceptable. Overall undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale. Official transcripts. Three letters of recommendation Twenty-five (25) hours of observation of clinical practice by an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist; observation hours should vary across settings, ages, and disorders. Personal Statement / Essay Interview Official copies of academic records from each college/university attended, accompanied by official English translations. TOEFL iBT: 80 or IELTS 6.0 overall. Submit the affidavit of support form which is required for verification of financial resources in order to issue the I-20. Original bank statements verifying account balances & Original letters from bank officials written in English on bank letterhead verifying the account holder, account number and current balance in U.S. dollars.
