The M.S. Mathematics degree program provides advanced study in the theoretical and applied aspects of mathematics and statistics. Students gain a deep foundation and core competency in at least three sub-disciplines of mathematics and broad exposure to other areas through elective courses in pure and applied mathematics or statistics. Students graduating with the M.S. Mathematics degree are prepared for a number of possible objectives, including careers in industry and government; teaching at two-year and four-year colleges; or further study toward a Ph.D. program
Earned a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution (or its equivalent as determined by the Graduate School). Achieved a minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.00 scale or a 3.00 GPA on the last 60 hours. Achieved a minimum 3.00 GPA on any previous graduate courses completed at either Arkansas State University or another accredited university. Submitted of cial transcripts from each college or university as requested by the Graduate School. English Language Profeciency (Minimumscore of 6.0 for IELTS and 550 for TOEFL pbt), 3 Letters of Recommendation, Updated Resume, Letter of intent, GRE test scores (150 on both the verbal and quantitative sections of the exam), Statement of purpose
