Arkansas State University is a public research institution established in 1909 and is the second largest college system in the state. It is the flagship campus of Arkansas State University system located at Jonesboro, Arkansas.

There are two main branches of geography: human geography and physical geography. Geographers also study the linkages between human activity and natural systems.
