In order to receive a master s degree, students must demonstrate mastery of the core subject matter. Requirements include the satisfactory completion of the core coursework with no lower than a B in each course and an internship where students demonstrate a working knowledge of computational methods available to the modern bioinformatician. Upon completion of the internship, each student is required to submit a written and oral report on the internship experience.
