The master's degree in Chemistry at Northeastern provides graduate education for students planning careers in industry, business, teaching or planning additional graduate work or professional studies. There are three options available in the program. Northeastern's Chemistry Department has an active research program. Students who are pursuing a master s degree can elect to do their thesis research projects in method development and validation of pharmaceutical products, medicinal chemistry, environmental chemistry, material science and chemical education. The unique separation science program prepares students for employment in industry.
