MA in Trade and Development

2 Years On Campus Masters Program

Eastern Michigan University

Program Overview

Rapidly growing international trade, increasing complexity of world financial markets, and the collision of economic development with environmental problems place special demands on economists engaged in international business and public policymaking. Some Master s degree programs provide training in business or world language or some combination of these, but the economics components of these programs are often minimal and insufficient. Alternately, many Master s programs in economics are designed chiefly to serve students with strong analytic skills. By contrast, the Master of Arts in Trade and Development offers comprehensive international trade and economic development training while stressing applications and policy issues relevant to nontechnical careers in international business and government service.
