Program Overview

The MFA in creative writing is a terminal degree in creative writing. Students work with faculty mentors to create a manuscript-length work of creative prose in fiction, nonfiction, poetry, or another creative genre with approval of the program director. Students also concentrate on academic work in literary criticism and analysis of writing craft. Students can elect to pursue strands in pedagogy or professional writing.

A Bachelor's degrees from regionally accredited colleges or universities and meeting the criteria indicating high potential to succeed in graduate-level work. Require equivalent of a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, Copies of all academic records, Original Personal Statement , Provide financial documentation, Two Letters of Recommendation,CV or Resume, Test scores: 83 in TOEFL, 6 in IELTS, 53 in PTE or successful completion of ELS Level 112, GRE or GMAT scores.
