Program Overview

The Master in Sociology aims to train professionals at the highest academic level in the country in the field of social research and contemporary sociological theories, which enable them to work as experts in the areas of formulation, design and management of policies and social development programs in national and international public and private organizations. In addition to these research, advice and consulting activities, the graduates of the Master's Degree will be trained for tertiary level teaching activities, meeting the growing demand of private institutions and the University of the Republic itself, in the areas of social theory and of research methodology in social sciences.
