PhD in French Language and Literature

A doctoral thesis must constitute an original research and represent a distinct contribution to knowledge. It must demonstrate knowledge of previous work in the field and demonstrate the ability to plan and carry out research, organize results, and advocate the process and conclusions in a scholarly manner. The research work presented must correspond to the current standards of the discipline; the thesis must also clearly show how its content advances knowledge in the field. Finally, the thesis must be written in accordance with the standards of academic and scholarly expression and publication in the public domain.
