Program Overview

The Mathematical and Computational Sciences at Western are represented by four separate departments: Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Mathematics, and Statistical & Actuarial Sciences. The Department of Mathematics has established research groups in several areas of contemporary mathematics including algebra, analysis and analytic geometry, homotopy theory, and noncommutative geometry.

"Approved Master's degree (or equivalent) in Pure Mathematics, Must have at least a ""B+"" average, Official transcripts, GMAT/ GRE scores each rank within or above the 75th percentile, Statement of Research and Professional Interests, TOEFL ibT of 86 with no individual score below 20, IELTS of 6 out of 9, MELAB of 80 on each section and an overall score of 85, CAEL of 60, Western English Language Centre- successful completion of the High-Advanced level, CultureWorks- successful completion of the High-Advanced level, Fanshawe College s ESL Program- graduation from Level 5, Advanced Academic Preparation, with a minimum 80% in all components"
