As a nationally-accredited program, the Social Work Doctoral program produces highly qualified social work researchers and educators. The aim of developing such advanced scholarly and research skills is to equip doctoral students for future roles as leaders in the social work profession. The thesis study component of the program develops the sophisticated research skills necessary for an original and significant contribution to social work knowledge.
