Program Overview

The Doctorate in Engineering Sciences,mention Materials Science,has as its objective the multidisciplinary training of specialists of the highest scientific and technological level,with the ability to independently carry out original investigations in the field of Materials Science,both in the scientific and technological aspects of the discipline. In various areas of this broad discipline,the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the University of Chile shows a sustained development (see Research Areas),has a select group of researchers and has standard and state-of-the-art experimental equipment for analysis and characterization of materials,such as transmission electron microscopy,XPS and X-ray diffraction,among others.
