PhD Chilean and Hispanic American Literature

The Doctorate in Literature with mention in Chilean and Latin American Literature is defined in a field of literary studies that arouses the greatest interest and has had sustained development at the University of Chile. Indeed,it corresponds to the tradition of our literary studies,the preferred interest for literary production in Chile and Latin America. The need to deepen these studies for which there are bibliographic resources,sources,demand and human resources,to justify the existence of this Doctorate and to base its development possibilities.The study plan tends to focus their attention and focus their efforts on the realization,by the candidates,of a high-level research or thesis,as an essential and demonstrative requirement of the academic level achieved,orienting it,both to critical review and in greater depth of themes already cultivated,be to the study of the literature of the area according to the renewal impulses of current literary and cultural research.
