PhD Dental Sciences

The Faculty of Dentistry has more than 100 years of experience in the training of dental surgeon professionals and contributing to the development of Dentistry. Through the creation of the Doctorate Program in Dental Sciences,the Faculty of Dentistry hopes to contribute to the training of researchers with the highest degree,who generate a substantial contribution to scientific knowledge in Dental Sciences both nationally and internationally.The objective of the Doctorate Program in Dental Sciences is the training of graduates at the highest level,capable of independently conducting and conducting original research,the results of which constitute a substantial contribution to scientific and / or technological knowledge in Dentistry. Graduates must have a knowledge of the discipline that allows them to work as researchers within one of the various fields of Dentistry,so that they become effective promoters and stimulators of the development of scientific research,involving either its basic aspects.,clinical,public health or technological applications. The researchers trained in the Program must contribute to solving the population's oral health problems,Doctors of Dental Sciences graduated from the Program will have the generic and specific competences corresponding to an active researcher of the highest level,trained to independently design and carry out excellent research,which contributes significantly to the development of the discipline through the generation and dissemination of dental knowledge,whether in its basic,clinical,public health or technological applications. They must be able to recognize problems related to the Dental Sciences and carry out research aimed at proposing possible solutions,in particular for the oral health problems of the population.
