Program Overview

The Doctorate in Science Program with mention in Microbiology began in the mid-80s from the Doctorate in Science with mention in Biology at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Chile and to date 140 Doctors have graduated . Starting in 2000,the Science Doctorate Program with a mention in Microbiology was created and after the signing of an academic collaboration agreement,it was taught as a Joint Doctorate Program in Microbiology between the University of Chile and the University from Santiago de Chile,both institutions being public and state universities with a long history of professional training and the one that grants the highest academic degree corresponding to the doctorate.
