Program Overview

Graduates from Doctoral Program in Film Studies and Broad Cultural and Historical Knowledge, are well acquainted with the theory and history of both Czech and international audiovisual culture and are versed in at least two foreign languages. Equipped with excellent writing skills, they have experience with authoring academic texts of various genres. Graduates are familiar with the international academic community and have participated in both domestic and international conferences. Fully prepared for independent research and teaching, they are competent in a variety of academic activities (editorial work for journals and publishers, project management for film festivals and art cinemas, in addition to flexibility in other cultural ventures).

A completed Master s degree in a related field of study, an official transcript of records from your previous university studies, an official translation of the two above into Czech (translation is not required if the original documents were issued in English), a certificate of equivalence from Czech educational authorities which states that your certificate/diploma is recognised in the Czech Republic (called nostrification ), if you completed your previous education abroad, TOEFL ibT of 80, IELTS of 6.5, IB English 6, Melab 77, TOEIC 605
