The study leads to a deeper understanding of the nature of creative thinking, learning and teaching in the field of visual (visual) culture and new, collaborative and educational functions of contemporary art. The study in the field of art has the theoretical and empirical research base in the field of art and culture.but it also has a great interdisciplinary potential.

The graduate is profiled as an expert personality, competent in the fields of visual art and pedagogy, prepared for professionally effective research, educational and cultural activity. Creative preparation in the field of art work offers the graduate competences for independent or team research work concerning art and design, synthesising art work with theoretical reflection. Visual art education doctoral graduates may work as teachers and researchers at universities of corresponding focus. They may also work in corresponding expertly profiled fields at secondary or primary schools, art schools, museums and galleries, centres for further education of teachers and cultural or other institutions with corresponding focus.
