The Ph.D. graduate in Romance languages is a highly trained specialist in conducting research work in his / her field (one or more Romance languages). He / she is able to interpret these languages in a qualified manner, applying synchronic or diachronic approaches and utilizing modern linguistic methods and research procedures. His / her specialization is also based on the knowledge of the foundations and history of general linguistics with a special focus on Romance linguistics. The graduate is ready to seek employment in academia (universities, research centers etc.); with his / her language skills and broad erudition of graduate may be employed in cultural institutions, the media, diplomacy, etc.

A completed Master s degree in a related field of study, an official transcript of records from your previous university studies, an official translation of the two above into Czech (translation is not required if the original documents were issued in English), a certificate of equivalence from Czech educational authorities which states that your certificate/diploma is recognised in the Czech Republic (called nostrification ), if you completed your previous education abroad, TOEFL ibT of 80, IELTS of 6.5, IB English 6, Melab 77, TOEIC 605
